Sarah is developing a broad commercial practice across Chambers’ core areas of expertise, with particular interest in sport, technology, and art law matters.
She joined Chambers in 2026, following the successful completion of her pupillage under the supervision of Niamh Cleary, Alex Barden KC, and Katherine Hardcastle.
Sarah graduated with a First Class degree in Law from Queen’s University Belfast and received the McKane Medal for coming first in her year. She then completed the LLM at the University of Cambridge with a commercial specialisation, in receipt of the Spyrou-Lintott Scholarship and De Hart Prize from Christ’s College. Prior to commencing pupillage, Sarah worked as an intern at the SIAC Secretariat in Singapore.
Assisting with research in a leapfrog appeal to the UKSC on the scope of the tort of unlawful means conspiracy, arising out of a motorsport dispute (during pupillage).
Assisting with subsequent CACD appeals of traders seeking the quashing of their convictions in the wake of R v Hayes and Palombo (during pupillage).
Assisting with various applications and pleadings in a complex aviation leasing dispute involving the financing of aircraft through the JOLCO (Japanese Operating Lease with Call Option) structure, assignment of security interests and termination, and contractual indemnities (during pupillage).
Assisting with pleadings (with Jeff Chapman KC) in a complex high value professional negligence claim brought against a firm of solicitors, arising from alleged mishandling of negotiations, a mediation, and legal proceedings involving restrictive covenants (during pupillage).
Assisting with an application to intervene in a UKSC appeal, and with preparing submissions on behalf of the intervenors on the topic of causation in homicide cases involving the suicide of victims of domestic violence (during pupillage).
Sarah has a particular interest in matters involving art and is currently undertaking a Diploma in Art Law with the Institute of Art & Law.

Assisting with legal research and submissions, including on extraterritorial application of section 423 IA and the applicable law in claims for inducing breach of contract/unlawful means conspiracy, in a claim involving fraudulent misappropriation of shares amounting to a transaction at an undervalue with the intention of defrauding creditors (during pupillage).
Assisting with legal research on the appropriate timing of a non-party costs order in a dispute concerning an arbitral award found to have been obtained through fraud (during pupillage).

Assisting with advising on a contractual entitlement to recover for increased insurance premiums arising as a result of another party’s claims history, in the context of a multiparty insurance arrangement (during pupillage).
Assisting with pleadings in a claim for nonpayment of share price and earn out payments, seeking an order for an account/specific performance (during pupillage).
