Fountain Court Chambers is pleased to announce that Sian Huckett will become Senior Clerk from 1 January 2027, with Luke Diebelius and Alfie Harper promoted to Deputy Senior Clerks from the same date.
The appointments place the team at the head of a clerking operation that is consistently ranked among the very best at the Bar, at the heart of a set that Chambers & Partners named Set of the Year in 2025, and that is shortlisted for Set of the Year at the 2026 Legal Business Awards.
Sian succeeds Alex Taylor, who has led the clerking team since 2008 and will continue to support Chambers in a part-time consultancy capacity. Her appointment is also a significant moment for the Bar, as she becomes the first woman to lead the clerking team at an elite commercial set.
Sian joined Fountain Court in 2008, became Deputy Senior Clerk in 2018 and was named Clerk of the Year at the Legal 500 Bar Awards in 2023.
Luke and Alfie both joined as Team Leader Assistants before being promoted to Team Leaders in 2019. Their promotions recognise their contribution to Chambers’ client service, practice management and clerking excellence.
