Fountain Court is delighted to announce two appointments to the Attorney General’s Panels of Counsel.

Katherine Hardcastle has been appointed to the London A Panel of Junior Counsel, having previously served on the B Panel. Her practice spans public and regulatory law, with particular expertise in the criminal justice system, contempt and financial services. She is frequently instructed in complex judicial review and appellate matters, acting for a wide range of public bodies and regulators. Chambers & Partners recognises her as “a very senior junior, with unparalleled experience having worked on some of the highest profile cases in the market”. Katherine’s elevation to the A Panel is testament to the strength, versatility and depth of her public law practice.

Jacob Turner has been elevated to the London B Panel of Junior Counsel, having previously been on the C Panel. Jacob has particular expertise in cases involving technology, data and AI. Alongside his technology practice, he is frequently instructed in significant commercial and sovereign matters. In January 2025, Jacob acted as sole counsel in a successful judicial review, securing urgent interim relief against a public body. His recent Governmental work has included advising the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology and the UK AI Security Institute on the regulation of AI. Jacob’s practice has been recognised across the legal directories and the wider profession. Described by Legal 500 as “extremely bright, very responsive and hard-working”, he is ranked by Chambers and Partners as a Global Market Leader for AI and was named in The Lawyer’s Hot 100 2025.

These appointments reflect both Katherine and Jacob’s individual excellence and Fountain Court’s broader contribution to significant matters of public importance.
