Fountain Court has become the first barristers’ chambers to achieve independent verification, through voluntary disclosure, of its greenhouse gas emissions report to the ISO 14064-1 standard, which is recognised as the most credible carbon emissions reporting standard globally.

Working with carbon standards experts Carbonology, Chambers measured and reported its carbon footprint, achieving the most positive outcome of ‘Reasonable Assurance’.

This achievement builds on Chambers’ role as a founding member of the Greener Litigation Pledge, which recognises and responds to the importance of restricting global warming to 1.5°C, and reflects our commitment to transparency, credible reporting, and reducing our environmental impact. We are actively monitoring our footprint and continue to implement measures with the ambition of lowering emissions.
